Happiness is a choice. Just like misery. I think it’s so important to stay aware of our thought processes, because they develop into feelings, and in return the feelings that we have shape what we attract into our lives. So, although there are many areas of my life right now that could be improved, I choose to focus my attention on the things that I do have, instead of what I don’t. And guys, let me tell you, it is so much easier to live that way! No, I am not saying it is easy to do this, because it’s the EGO’s job in all of us to make you focus on the negative, but with just a little bit of effort to stay conscious and observe your own thoughts & feelings, it is possible to turn your life around.
This Week’s Hits are:
- Jean Paul Gaultier Madame Perfume. I am completely obsessed with this scent! I don’t know what it is about it, but every time I smell it, I feel swept up by a wave of emotions. MaDame is described as a fresh floral scent that is brilliant, colorful and smooth with subtle notes of orange zest. It is just such a unique scent full of energy, freedom and joy, that when I put it on, I feel as though it electrifies my soul. I absolutely love, love, love it! I’ve only just gotten the tester, but now I have to get the actual Perfume!… it is definitely on my Wish List… (Here is a not-so-subtle hint for anybody wanting to give me a present… LOL!)
- UP! Cartoon Movie. I watched this cartoon movie last night, and boy, oh boy… I am still thinking about it. Pixar outdid themselves yet again, with a fantastic picture! On top of fabulous, high class 3D Animation, the music and the perfect voiceovers, the story line, and especially the underlying life lessons is what struck with me the most. I don’t want to give away too much, because I urge you to watch it for yourself, if you haven’t already, but I’ll just say this: It’s a beautiful, tear-jerking love story (not in a corny kind of way), filled with important life lessons scattered throughout the film, that I believe people from all ages will be able to relate to. Fantastic Cartoon Movie! I give it 2 Thumbs UP!
This Week’s Misses are:
- Smokers / Smoking is disgusting! Just like cold weather, smoking is one of those things, that I can complain about non-stop. It just goes beyond me to understand why anybody in their right state of mind, would voluntarily poison their own body, the environment, and those around them?! Those who are addicted to smoking, can quit with enough will power. It’s the ones that say they are social smokers that kill me the most. So you’re saying you don’t HAVE to smoke, but CHOOSE to?? Why would you do that to your own body, your temple that works tirelessly, around the clock, so you could enjoy the gift of life?! Please, for the love of LIFE, love yourself enough to STOP poisoning yourself… please!
Just like cold weather, I think I am actually physically allergic to smoking… It is truly disgusting to me, to a point that I can’t breathe and inhale the air when there is smoke around. Don’t even get me started on kissing a smoker… It’s absolutely revolting and is by far, the biggest TURN-OFF ever!! I don’t like smoking so much so, that you could be the most good looking and the smartest man, but if you smoke, you stand no chance with me. Umm yeah… I’ll stop right there, I think I made my point very clear!… lol
What were the ups & downs of your week? Would love to hear from you in the comments below.

OMG!!! UP is such a good cartoon…. I saw it in theaters when it just came out and I left with a conclusion that that cartoon is more targeted to adults than kids (besides the cute animation) as it touches on the life issues that not all kids understand.
As far as smoking goes, I am probably one of the most odd ppl … I dont smoke but sometimes I do enjoy the smell of smoke when some1 is smoking and by that I am not saying that I like to inhale second hand smoking. It also depends on the kind of brand they are smoking and the smoke has to be mixed with outside air and the ppl have to be standing in the somewhat near vicinity from me … close enough to smell but far enough not to inhale the direct smoke. And kissing a heavy smoker is like smoking yourself… blahh!!! lol
Definitely going to give Madame a smell, just going to hit up the local Shoppers and check it out! Great smells are a hit, but it’s prices are a miss(They’re so expensive!!!!!)
and you got the miss dead on. It’s a Miss of life. I’ve been trying to get my dad to quit forever, but he still hasn’t done it yet =( I know it’s a hard habit to kick especially if you start at a young age… but it’s worth it for health reasons.
I actually really hate it when I’m walking down the street and someone infront of me is smoking and it just gets blown in my face Blecchhhh…
another miss? Exams. . . They never stop =( But aside from that, my weeks been wonderful, especially with the beautiful weather we’ve been getting! Hope you’re having a wonderful week too Leyla!
UP was amazing.
I have tons of problems with my smoking neighbours. Only bad thing about living in an apartment building.
just have to say that i’m impressed and inspired by your work and this blog. i’ve been scouring the web for ideas of my own and am always thrilled to stumble on such fine talent as yourself. I don’t know where to put this comment as it’s so general, so i put it here in your most recent post, which btw is a great idea also.
I am particularly interested in the design and staging features you have here. I plan on making regular visits. nice work.
