This part of the book, in my humble opinion, carries with it one of the most important and impactful lessons that we as human beings can learn. If we truly understand its message and embrace this truth with all fibers of our being, our lives can truly change for the better & be what it is meant to be. Joy without sorrow, love without hate, peace without war…

In order to create change in the world, it has got to start with changes being done to ourselves. The world is simply a reflection of our inner “worlds”… So if we are at war with ourselves, how can the world reflect something other than the same?

It is not about being perfect, it is about Growing… every day…

Read on to get an amazing dose of inspiration… =)

This conversation takes place between Dylan & Nikki, while they’re in the car, heading for a trip up north. Page 280…

{ Nikki told Dylan what to bring to prevent him from hauling all his suitcases for a two-day trip. Nikki was a great traveler, whether it be to far-off destinations, or just a quickie to Las Vegas. She could always pack in less than fifteen minutes.
She allowed Dylan the control seat, of which he seemed so fond, and while he focused on the road she chatted about things she loved.

“You say you ‘love’ this, you ‘love’ that, about a lot of things!” he teased.
“Can one love too much, Dylan? Love to me, is perfection made manifest.”
“Love can be a bitch, Babe. It can take you down for the count and leave you so heartsick, you can find little reason to rise from your bed in the morning.” cut in Dylan.

Nikki reached for his right hand and held it gently, as if nursing a wounded man. “No doubt, by the ego’s definition of love, one can be mortally wounded. I’m referring, however, to true love, darlin’ – something one gives to anyone or anything in all creation that magnifies and reflects its perfection. Obedience to the Law of Love can alter the course of any one life or that of all humanity.”

Dylan caught a sideways glance at the intense expression on her face. The passion in her voice and eyes was undeniably sincere. “Nik, I can’t say as I’ve never experienced any definition of love that didn’t ultimately hurt or disappoint me. Maybe I don’t truly understand what you’re saying.”

She sucked a halting breath, looked down at their joined hands and lured him further into unknown territories. “You know, most folks just choose the pathway of ego love because they’ve never been exposed to any other kind. They create discord upon discord and misery upon misery, which chases them through each incarnation until the great whip of life yanks them back to their knees – humbly begging an understanding of their misery. It’s only the foolish person who won’t learn by his mistakes. Ultimately, Dylan, I think all mankind will come to understand the only release from their continual suffering comes from obedience to the Law of True Love.”

He listened without interruption or offering his opinion for he’d quickly learned to recognize when she was about to share something truly important to her – almost as if her very verbiage changed. She spoke more like a teacher than a participant in a conversation.

“True Love can only express peace and joy,” she contiued, “and pours out those feelings to all creation, unconditionally. It doesn’t ask something in return or even remember what it’s given in the past. It receives and maintains its joy by a continual outpouring of itself and is the foundation and proper use of all Life Energy. When brought down to our human experience, it’s the desire to give, and to give, and to give all of your own peace and harmony to the rest of the whole. Because it is a giving, it cannot hurt or disappoint.

“I learned a valuable lesson about love during a period when I felt desperately alone in my marriage. I didn’t realize that Scott only reflected for me what I put out into the world. I thought I loved without limit, giving away every part of me, but I demanded something in return. My lesson not only taught me to love and honor myself, but also to understand the difference between Divine Love and my ego’s expression of love – the one that left me with the inevitable feeling that love could never be returned to me full measure. When I changed my attention and just gave for the sake of giving, expecting nothing in return, love went out upon the waters and revisited me multiplied. It’s the law of the great circle, you see. Whatever you put out must, by law, take the path of the circle, gathering more of its kind, and return to its creator.” }

I cannot say that I have been able to apply this wisdom to my life 100% of the time… But I can tell you this: I try, and I try and I keep trying … Every Day to keep on reaching to achieve this beautiful wisdom and spread the goodness onto the world and onto others…

I think there is no perfection in life, but there certainly is something called Evolution, Growing & striving to be the better version of yourself every moment of ever day…

Love without limits!

Happy Sunday! =)
